Tengok Cartoon Lagi!!!!

This weekend was not bad at all actually. On Saturday, my team had our first match for futsal and Alhamdulillah both of our teams, men and women, managed to go for the final match on this coming 29th November 2008. It was a blessing coz nobody expected that we could win as the opponent was bigger, taller and stronger. Well, God is good. It was a really fun and enjoyable moment! He he he

Sunday early morning I went out for my Volleyball practice…a good one coz I don’t feel much pain on my wrist and arms…

After that I went to see another animated movie, ‘IGOR’…hehehe…saja nak relax kan..bila lagi…but the show was not that good actually…

igor01The characters were not so ‘cantik’ and the storyline was too evil.. Not suitable for kids I would say… For the first 1 hour, the storyline was promoting that only by doing bad things one can success in his/her life.. Solid one hour on this idea k… Only towards the end of the show they started to change the direction and saying that by being good one can also achieve a meaningful life…  No wonder tak ramai budak-budak pi tengok cerita ni.. Sure parents diorang tak nak bawak after they read the movie review…

Notwithstanding that, I still like this phrase “It is better to become a good nobody rather than an evil somebody…”

After movie, I went to the bookstore to find one book that I really wanted to read…but no sign of it.. So I got myself a copy of local paper… Front page “YOGA BAN”….

Well, as Majlis Fatwa has already said it’s ‘haram’, for me I just follow it for one simple reason, ilmu agama diorang lagi tinggi dari I la…

But looking at their points of argument, sad to say that it is not like what I’ve expected and I don’t really buy the idea when they said “Don’t question fatwa”. Sound so familiar right? When people pushed us, we avoided the issue by saying “Don’t ask too much. This is for muslim only and not for non-muslim”. Then how to make people understand and love Islam if we kept on brushing away like this?? Yet we get so angry when many muslims converted to Christian or Hindu or Buddha. Lina Joy issue is one of it, remember?

This statement has also made our scholars looks like in doubt with what they have said and afraid of being questioned/ challenged. This is not the way that I’ve been taught on how our beloved Prophet Muhammad S.A.W and the fellow apostles preached about Islam in the early age. I also wonder since when we cannot argue or question certain issues for the benefit of Ummah?? Just follow it blindly??

I believe that the fatwa and the education/explanation part must come out together hand in hand. Not fatwa first then explanation. Open the floor for arguments and intellectual discussion to clear the air for muslims & non-muslims once and for all before the enforcement, Q & A. Make the info easily accessible to everyone and not confined to certain group only. Be open and be fair to everybody coz Islam promotes fairness isn’t it?

The backlash came upon as people can’t see the logic behind the enforcement. The scholars might see the necessity but not most of the public coz not everybody go to Egypt and study the religion until degree, master or PHD level. So by saying “Just follow la..no need to ask anymore..”, it is actually not an acceptable way of handling an issue by many in today’s world.

We are not living in the 30’s or 60’s where people just swallowed everything. Whether we like it or not, this is the new era and the new type of war/battle. Islam has not and will not change till the end of the world but the way we preach about Islam must be improved and ‘competitive’.

If not, people will keep on manipulating on what we have said and ridicule our Muslim Scholars. I hope we as muslims can be more objective and rationale in handling these few issues and also the others. We should tackle the root cause of the problem and not only the ‘tip of an iceberg’.

By releasing fatwa, it might be safe for now, but don’t forget, everything around us is evolving and changing. Human beings are getting smarter (in fact chimpanzies and certain insects are learning to adapt human behaviour and learning to read too!! Watch NGEO..), more creative and analytic. Even our planet is changing, that’s why we called it ‘a dynamic planet earth’ (geology terms…he he). What more to ‘YOGA’. It is possible for this ancient exercise to evolve and change to suit the demand in the market. Nothing personal.. it’s strictly business and they might not call it Yoga anymore… So, can our fatwa still control the mania at that time?? Wallahualam.

If we don’t improvise the way we argue on certain religion issues, I won’t be surprise that one day we may lose the battle and eventually our next generation will become more confused or lose direction. Whereas those people who really want to see us fall apart are getting smarter day by day and they’ve also become more creative.

For people like me whereby I m always surrounded by non-muslims who wanted to know/understand more about Islam and the rationale for each rule that has been outlined, having new fatwa(s) every now and then without a full / clearer picture or strong substances will make it even more challenging for us to handle the curiosity.

Nonetheless, I will still do my best to perform my part. Just a thought.

Ah!! This is too long…When will I learn to write a short paragraph..?

Hmm…sebentar tadi aku pi lunch…sedap jugak nasi ayam dia..nasi ayam ‘Kung Pao’…nama dasyat kan..he he he..actually cuma nasi ayam berlaukkan ayam masak kicap..sedap jugak…ni la yang di namakan variasi…actually nasi ayam tu dah biasa kita dengar..tapi dengan ubah nama sikit and presentation..bende tu jadi sesuatu yang baru atau lain..so orang pun interested nak try…sebenarnye sama je..tapi expectation on something different and new will always drive people towards it…curiosity kills many cats already..he he he

Sama macam hidup ni…perlukan variasi..kelainan..kadang kadang kita tak sedar yang kita dah terperuk dalam satu situasi tu terlalu lama, sampai kita lupa yang di luar sana tu ada banyak bende lain yang lebih menarik and can help us too rejunivate our life… In any expect of life, variasi is important..especially in relationship…IT’S MANDATORY! If not, tu yang jadi perang sana sini..bosan and menyampah…huh..

Actually, tadi abang aku baru call, dia nak suruh aku buat satu skrip untuk drama pentas…persembahan untuk OKU…waduh, aku suda lama nggak menulis skrip and dengan keje yang bertimbun-timbun ni..macam mana la aku nak buat…he he he for OKU somemore…arrhhggg..aku mana pernah tulis skrip for deaf and blind people…

So, my bro said…”ndak apa..ko tulung aku brainstorming ja..”..he he he nasib baik..

Writing skrip and short stories memang part of my hobbies but since working with the bank, i seldom spend time on it already..dah karat…hopefully this weekend going to be a fruitfull discussion… wish me luck 😉

A junior manager, a senior manager and their boss are on their way to a meeting. On their way through a park, they come across a wonder lamp. They rub the lamp and a ghost appears. The ghost says, ‘Normally, one is granted three wishes but as you are three, I will allow one wish each’
So the eager senior manager shouted, ‘I want the first wish. I want to be in the Bahamas , on a fast boat and have no worries.’ Pfufffff… And he was gone. Now the junior manager could not keep quiet and shouted ‘I want to be In Florida with beautiful girls, plenty of food and cocktails.’ Pfufffff¡. And he was also gone. The boss calmly said, ‘I want these two idiots back in the office after lunch at 12.35pm.’

Standing in front of a shredder with a piece of paper in his hand, ‘Listen,’ said the CEO, ‘this is a very sensitive and important document, and my secretary has left. Can you make this thing work?’
‘Certainly,’ said the young executive.
He turned the machine on, inserted the paper, and pressed the start button.
‘Excellent, excellent!’ said the CEO as his paper disappeared inside the shredder machine. ‘I just need one copy.’

An American and a Japanese were sitting on the plane on the way to LA When the American turned to the Japanese and asked, ‘What kind of -ese are you?’ The Japanese confused, replied, ‘Sorry but I don’t understand what you mean.’
The American repeated, ‘What kind of -ese are you?’Again, the Japanese was confused over the question.
The American, now irritated, then yelled, ‘What kind of -ese are you … Are you a Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese! Etc……??? ‘
The Japanese then replied, ‘Oh, I am Japanese.’
A while later the Japanese turned to the American and asked what kind of ‘key’ was he.
The American, frustrated, yelled, ‘What do you mean what kind of -kee’ am I?!’
The Japanese said, ‘Are you a Yankee, donkee, or monkee?’

There were these 4 guys, a Russian, a German, an American and a French, who found this small genie bottle. When they rubbed the bottle, a genie  appeared. Thankful that the 4 guys had released him out of the bottle, He said, ‘Next to you all are 4 swimming pools, I will give each of you a  wish. When you run towards the pool and jump, you shout what you want the pool of water to be! Come, and then your wish will come true.’
The French wanted to start. He ran towards the pool, jumped and shouted, ‘WINE’. The pool immediately changed into a pool of wine. The Frenchman was so happy swimming and drinking from the pool. Next is the Russian’s turn, he did the same and shouted, ‘VODKA’ and
Immersed himself into a pool of vodka. The German was next and he jumped and shouted, ‘BEER’. He was so contented with his beer pool.
The last is the American. He was running towards the pool when suddenly he steps on a banana peel. He slipped towards the pool and shouted,
‘SHIT!!!!!!! ……… ‘

The organs of the body were having a meeting, trying to decide who was in charge. Each organ took a turn to speak up:
Brain……. .. I should be in charge because I run all body functions.
Blood……. . I should be in charge because I circulate oxygen for the brain.
Stomach… I should be in charge because I process food to the brain.
Legs…….. . I should be in charge because I take the brain where it wants to go.
Eyes…….. . I should be in charge because I let the brain see where it’s going.
Asshole….. I should be in charge because I get rid of your waste.
All the other parts laughed so hard and this made the asshole very mad.
To prove his point, the asshole immediately slammed tightly closed and Stayed that way for 6 days, refusing to rid the body of any waste whatsoever.
Day 1 – Brain got a terrible headache and cried out for relief
Day 2 – Stomach got bloated and began to ache terribly
Day 3 – Legs got cramps and became unstable
Day 4 – Eyes became watery and vision became blurred
Day 5 – Blood became toxic and poisoned the body
Day 6 -The other organs agreed to let the asshole be in charge.

A Thought from India

” The easiest thing to do in the world is to give advice & to accuse someone. The toughest thing to do in the world is to accept our faults & to understand ourselves. The most wrong thing to do is to expect something from others and the most correct thing to do is to live on our own terms.”
